House of Leaves is a complicated text. Throw in a supplementary reading by Heidegger and you’re really feeling overwhelmed! Well, Heidegger’s essay on technology this week is pretty critical in going deeper into how we read Danielewski’s novel, so we have some wading to do here. After you close-read this article, compile one test-worth question about the article that will lead students (including yourself, of course!) to a firmer understanding of Heidegger’s important points. Compose a question that is based on a key passage in the article. Paste the passage in, and then follow it with your critical question for peers. In your 2 peer responses this week, you must choose 2 questions to answer. Your ANSWER counts for the most credit this week. Rule: answer questions that have not been answered yet.
